From Within You Shines a Beautiful Light

From within you shines a light. It is from you, and it is you. You are part of a collective light that is shining through all of us.

From the day you first existed you became a portal for the love of our Creator to shine upon the world. In spiritual form you were beautiful. Your physical form is still beautiful. This physical form is just a part of who you are. You are much more and always have been.

As a human being it is my job on this planet to be a conduit for the light that is flowing through me. I am the hands and feet of my Creator. I was brought here to do the will of God in all things.

The world around me can help me to understand how important the light from within is.

Lighthouses are one example.

I love lighthouses. There is something magical about them.

On a regular basis, someone must clean the glass so that the light will shine more brightly. This cleaning is necessary, so that the ships passing by will be safe.

It is this way in your life. For you to be the most beautiful beacon of hope you can be, you must clean your spiritual windows on a regular basis. Meditation, prayer, quiet time, healthy food, sleep, and fellowship with loved ones will keep your beautiful light shining.

From this place of remembering you can go out into the world and make it better. When you believe you have something beautiful to share with the world, you will create it. When you believe that your light is worthy to be seen, you will shine it.

I invite you today to take some time for you. Find a place where you can get quiet and invite your Creator into your conscience. Be aware of the gifts that you have. Be aware of how wonderful your life is. Be aware that you are a loving presence in this world. Be aware that many people love you. Be aware that your existence makes the world a better place.

When you have embraced and owned these truths, you will see your beautiful light shine even more. Like the lighthouse keeper that has cleaned the glass, the time you take to affirm your goodness will pay off. You may discover how wonderful God thinks you are. You may even find yourself agreeing with God.

We as a society are always looking to something outside of ourselves to fix us. You can call it an addiction, envy, or restlessness. But, we all know what I'm talking about. It's the belief that if we could just be somewhere other than where we are then everything would be ok. The Holding Pattern Becomes a Blessing

Most of us have had the unpleasant experience of being on an airplane that has been put in a holding pattern as it approaches the airport. As a result of some delay at the airport you are coming into  you are made to circle the airport over and over again until it is safe to land. This experience can be very frustrating, especially if we have another connecting flight to get to. This experience of being put in a holding pattern shows up in our everyday life sometimes. There are delays. The check we were supposed to get didn't come in the mail on time. The car dealer you took your car to for repairs didn't get your car back in time. And, now you have to rent a car.
