A Tree Planted

 

The beautiful seed of your life was planted in the heart of God before the first star was born. Within this seed contained all of the blessings of your life.

Your personality, your hair color, your sparkling eyes, your beautiful spirit. It was all contained in that one seed.

When your seed was planted in the human consciousness it took root. Deep roots were spread throughout the world. 

Your spirit and your essence became the light for others. You became the branches for those who needed shelter. 

When the storms of life came, they retreated to your branches. You became the very hope they were looking for. Your strong branches held the sick, the lonely, and the lost. You held out your beautiful branch and said, “Come one and come all.” 

Do you not believe this? Do you not understand that you are one with all? Do you not understand that your life is a refuge for someone? Do you not know that your life is a testament to those who need a light of hope?

You are that tree. You are the roots that go deep into the earth of someone else’s life. You are the tree planted in the heart of the hurting. You are the refuge.

God brought you here for a reason. You are meant to be a refuge to those who suffer. You are meant to be that solid oak tree in the middle of their storm. You are here to be the branch they need to land on when they are tired. You are the hands of God. You are the feet of God. You are the breath of God. You are the roots of God planted in the beautiful forest of humanity. 

Today, go and be the tree planted by God. Be the solid foundation for those who need and want help. Feel your roots go deep and be blessed as the nutrients of God’s blessings continue to go upward into your soul. 

Upward and downward my friend. You are the tree planted.

We as a society are always looking to something outside of ourselves to fix us. You can call it an addiction, envy, or restlessness. But, we all know what I'm talking about. It's the belief that if we could just be somewhere other than where we are then everything would be ok. Sometimes though when we get to wherever it is we think we should be, we will then want to be somewhere else. There is a tension between knowing that it's good for us to stay and commit to the situation at hand, and knowing that it is healthy to stretch and grow. The Holding Pattern Becomes a Blessing

Most of us have had the unpleasant experience of being on an airplane that has been put in a holding pattern as it approaches the airport. As a result of some delay at the airport you are coming into  you are made to circle the airport over and over again until it is safe to land. This experience can be very frustrating, especially if we have another connecting flight to get to. This experience of being put in a holding pattern shows up in our everyday life sometimes. There are delays. The check we were supposed to get didn't come in the mail on time. The car dealer you took your car to for repairs didn't get your car back in time. And, now you have to rent a car.
